NAWAL
The Nawal mark

No account.
Nobody's servers.
Just your Mac.

Nawal runs open models directly on your Mac and pairs with your iPhone, so the whole household can reach them — from the sofa or from the road. There is nothing to sign into, no cloud to call, and nothing to opt out of. Not even to reach your own computer from outside the house: that goes through a tunnel you own, not a service we run.

Coming to the Mac App Store Version 1.0.0 · Apple Silicon

Try it for 14 days, then $9.99 once — a single in-app purchase, less than one month of a cloud subscription, and it never comes back. No account with us, no subscription — ever.

Requires macOS 14.0 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 and up). 16 GB of memory minimum; 24 GB or more if you want to run the larger models comfortably.

Chat from your iPhone

Pair your phone by scanning a code — it finds your Mac on your network and talks to it directly, with nothing in between. Access from outside the house is coming.

Runs on your hardware

Open models run against your own CPU and GPU. Nawal manages downloading and loading them, and tells you honestly what each one will cost you in memory before it takes over your machine.

Private because it's offline

Not "private" as a policy promise — private because the inference happens locally and there is no server to send anything to. Web search is opt-in, per conversation, and shows its sources.

Agents that remember

Build agents with their own instructions, model, and memory. Their facts live in a database on your disk, and you can read and delete any of them.

The command line

nawal hack launches Claude Code, Aider or OpenCode in your terminal against the models on your Mac. It ships inside the direct download; App Store installs get it as a separate download here, because a coding agent has to run outside the app's sandbox, in your project. Separate download coming with the App Store release.
